The Large Contemporary Stalking Cheetah Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 210cm, presenting a cheetah caught in a low, coiled descent across a rough-hewn natural boulder. Every muscle in the body is compressed into readiness; the head drops and turns, the tail lifts, and the front legs fold under a frame poised between stillness and explosive forward motion.
This large bronze cheetah sculpture is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, allowing the craftsman to preserve every strand of fur texture and the precise tonal gradation of the spot patterning. The warm golden-bronze patina shifts to deep brown and near-black across the cheetah's characteristic rosettes, achieved through careful hand-applied chemical patination rather than paint. The result is a museum-quality bronze animal sculpture whose surface rewards close inspection as much as it commands a space from a distance.
The integrated natural stone boulder base anchors the composition organically, its sandy-beige irregular surface contrasting the warm metallic tones of the figure above. At this scale, the piece is suited to landscaped estate grounds, formal garden courtyards, hotel arrival spaces, and safari-lodge environments. Its outdoor-hardened bronze construction means it weathers and develops character across the seasons without structural compromise.
We can adapt the patina to a cooler dark-bronze or a classical verdigris finish, and the piece can be scaled to suit a specific site or plinth arrangement. Those interested in a fully bespoke commission, inspired by the work of wildlife sculptors working in the contemporary naturalist tradition, are welcome to contact us before ordering to discuss requirements in detail.
