Large Contemporary Emerging Male Profile Bronze Relief by Giant Sculptures, a 160cm wall sculpture with closed eyes and layered black-to-gold patina, on white.
Large Contemporary Emerging Male Profile Bronze Relief - 160cm $21,81300
Description

The Large Contemporary Emerging Male Profile Bronze Relief stands 160cm in height, a monumental wall-mounted composition in which a fragmented human face appears to surface from layers of stratified bronze. Rendered in profile and facing left, the form dissolves between figuration and abstraction, its horizontal planes suggesting eroded stone, compressed bark, or geological strata.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

This piece is cast using the traditional lost-wax process, which preserves the finest textural detail across every striated plane and projecting ridge. The hand-finished dark patina moves from a near-black depth in the recessed channels to warm, luminous gold on the raised facial surfaces, creating a tonal range that shifts with ambient light throughout the day. As a high-relief bronze wall sculpture, the face projects significantly from the mounting surface, casting its own shadow and animating the surrounding wall as lighting conditions change. The result is a piece that reads differently at every hour.

Designed for interior settings, this relief is at home against raw concrete, textured plaster, white-rendered wall, or dark timber panelling. It suits residential entrance halls, double-height living spaces, corporate lobbies, and gallery environments where scale and tactile presence are priorities. The bronze and black palette is neutral enough to anchor a room without competing with surrounding tones.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include the signature dark near-black with gold highlights shown, as well as mid-brown antique bronze, verde green, and natural polished bronze. The scale is also adjustable: smaller interior versions and larger architectural commissions are both achievable. This composition is also available as an entirely bespoke portrait relief inspired by the work of Marco, adapted to your own subject and spatial requirements. Contact us before ordering to discuss your specification.
