The Large Contemporary Dual Dragon Bronze Sculpture stands at an imposing 250cm, commanding attention with its dynamic dual-figure composition: a dominant winged dragon in full flight, wings spread wide, neck arched skyward, claws gripping an ornate scrolled pole mount, with a second, smaller dragon raised above as though locked in aerial combat or ascending in its wake.
Constructed using a flat cut-metal silhouette technique, each panel of this large bronze dragon sculpture is individually formed, welded, and hand-textured before the entire piece is treated to a rich dark brown and rust-toned oxidised patina. The result is a surface that shifts from deep charcoal to warm amber depending on the light, capturing the raw, mythological energy of the subject. Unlike traditional lost-wax castings, the cut-metal construction gives this contemporary bronze dragon statue its distinctly graphic, architectural silhouette, each wing panel reading as a bold form against the sky.
Designed specifically for outdoor settings, this sculpture performs best in open garden environments where its full 250cm height and wingspan can be appreciated without obstruction. Its dark oxidised finish integrates naturally against stone walls, mature hedgerows, slate patios, and gravel courtyards. The scrolled decorative pole base provides visual stability and echoes the ornamental language of the dragons themselves, making the entire piece self-contained as a garden focal point. Given the scale and weight of 150kg, a level, firm surface or a prepared base is recommended for installation.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard dark oxidised treatment, including verde green, mid-brown classical bronze, and polished warm gold. Scale can be adjusted to suit your specific site, from intimate garden installations to fully monumental commissions. If you would like a bespoke variation, including a single-dragon composition or a custom pole base design, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss your requirements in full.
