The Large Classical Seated Angel Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 180cm, presenting a serene female angel posed with eyes closed and head gently bowed, her arms crossed at the chest to cradle a bouquet of roses, while vast feathered wings sweep symmetrically behind her in full repose.
Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this classical angel bronze sculpture carries a pronounced two-tone surface finish: deep brown-black bronze across the skin and dress, contrasted with heavy verdigris green oxidation across the wings and drapery. The result is a patina that reads as genuinely aged, with the kind of tonal depth that only develops through considered hand-finishing at every stage of production. At 400kg, the piece carries substantial physical presence, each feather articulated cleanly and the folds of drapery resolved with precision. This is a large handcrafted bronze angel statue built to anchor a space rather than simply occupy it.
The sculpture is equally suited to formal garden settings, private estates, chapel forecourts, mausoleum gardens, and grand interior volumes such as entrance halls or atria. The two-tone patina reads well against pale stone, dark slate, and aged brick alike. The integrated stone plinth grounds the figure and requires no additional base, though the piece can be specified with an alternative plinth profile on commission.
We offer a full range of patina finishes beyond the two-tone verdigris shown, including uniform dark brown, polished bronze, and custom aged-gold treatments. The figure can be scaled upward for monumental installations or reduced for interior settings. Bespoke commissions are welcome for memorial or site-specific projects, including custom inscription plinths. If you have a specific requirement, contact us before ordering so we can advise on the most suitable specification. This piece has also been noted as inspired by the work of classical European funerary sculptors of the nineteenth century, and can be further refined toward any particular reference on request.
