The Large Classical Apollo Bust Bronze Statue stands 75 centimetres tall and presents one of antiquity's most recognisable male portraits with commanding stillness. A three-quarter turn of the head and the characteristic upswept, elaborately curled hair of the Apollo Belvedere tradition give the piece an unmistakable classical authority, while the draped himation across the shoulders and a small circular brooch detail at the left shoulder add layers of sculptural richness.
This statue is cast in solid lost-wax bronze, a method unchanged in its fundamentals for over two thousand years. Each pour produces a surface of exceptional detail, capturing every curl, every fold of fabric, and every subtle tonal transition in the drapery. The hand-applied warm golden-brown patina gives the piece a consistent, luminous sheen that deepens over time with natural oxidation. The integrated classical pedestal, complete with a rounded drum column and stepped circular foot in matching bronze, forms an inseparable whole with the bust itself, making the piece fully self-contained at display height.
At 75 centimetres tall and 65 kilograms, this is a substantial presence suited to spaces that can carry real visual weight. It works naturally in entrance halls, studies, library alcoves, and formal reception rooms, sitting well against stone, dark timber panelling, or painted plaster in cream, terracotta, or deep greens. The bronze finish connects equally to contemporary interiors and period settings. The piece is equally at home outdoors on a sheltered terrace or within a walled garden, where the patina will evolve gracefully in the elements.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the standard warm golden-brown, including cold black, verdigris, and dark antique brown. The sculpture can also be produced at a larger scale for monumental installations or as a closer life-size commission inspired by the work of classical antiquity's Apollo Belvedere tradition. Please contact us before ordering to discuss scale, finish, or any site-specific requirements.
