Yellow Open Looped Ribbon Knot Resin Sculpture, 73cm, on a black marble base, set against a plain light grey background.
Yellow Open Looped Ribbon Knot Resin Sculpture - 73cm $1,82200
Description

A ribbon knot in bright yellow resin with its loops opened wide. The ribbon curls up from a single bend at the foot, swings out into a broad loop, crosses itself and ends in a slim curl at the top, leaving large openings through the form. The yellow is clear and sunny, a little deeper where the ribbon doubles. Its black marble block comes with it.

Sunlight Through Open Loops

Yellow brings sunshine to this open knot. With the loops opened wide, the ribbon draws a bright outline round each opening, and the room seen through the loops is framed in gold. Where the ribbon crosses itself the colour deepens a touch, which gives the knot its structure. The yellow is even through the whole casting, and each face is polished to a clean, wet gloss, inside the loops as well as out, so the colour stays bright from every angle.

A console or a wide shelf, placed where the room behind it is worth seeing through the loops. It suits white, grey and green rooms and kitchens, and it lifts a dark hallway. Daylight passing the loops makes the yellow glow like sun through leaves; a lamp above picks out the curl at the top.

Lemon, Gold, or Amber, and How It Travels

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. The yellow can be taken towards lemon or gold, or graded into amber at the foot, and the loops can be drawn in for a denser knot. White marble is available for the block. The same open knot is made in blue, sold on its own. It is packed with the wide loops supported and needs one person, who should lift at the block and keep the loops clear of door frames and walls. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Sunny yellow resin with its loops thrown wide is a bright note among our resin sculptures; the open, looping ribbon belongs to our organic sculptures, and pieces to lift a dark hallway are in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
