This armchair is cast in a pale yellow resin that deepens to honey amber wherever it runs thick. Its back is a hoop that carries straight on into the arms, and drips hang from the underside of the hoop at different lengths, the longest running all the way down to join the seat. The seat is shaped like a broad leaf, veined across its surface, with its tip dipping over the front edge. Four uneven legs carry it, knobbled like melting wax.
Every line on this chair looks as though it was caught mid-flow. The drips under the hoop are rounded at their tips like drops about to fall, and the long one at the centre widens as it reaches the seat, where it becomes the leaf's midrib. The seat's surface is a close network of raised veins and small cells, so it glitters rather than shines. Where the resin gathers at the joints between arms, legs and seat, the yellow turns amber, and the thinner runs stay pale enough to see through. No two legs are alike: each swells and pinches along its length before ending flat on the floor.
At 74cm to the top of its hoop the chair sits at a table for dining or writing, though it is happiest standing alone where it can be walked round. The yellow warms a white room and glows against grey, turning richer under evening lamps. A cushion is worth adding for long sittings, since the veined seat is textured. A bare floor and a pale wall let the drips and the leaf read clearly. Indoor use only.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The tint comes first: this pale yellow can be warmed towards amber, or the chair cast in another colour, or in clear resin with none. The seat can keep its raised veining or be smoothed to a plain dished surface. The drips can be left long, with the centre one joining the seat, or cut back so the hoop reads cleanly. Seat height and overall width are quoted to whatever you need. A set is finished together so the surfaces agree. It ships in two crates and four people are wanted. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Drips frozen on a yellow hoop make this armchair a seat for our art furniture; the melting outline belongs with our organic sculptures, and the honey-toned casting with our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
