Description

A rising form whose upper reach is clear and glassy and whose body below turns a deep, sunlit yellow, with streaks of amber drawn through it like veins in honey. The crest swings out to the left at the top, the body twists down to a narrow foot, and the piece rises from a black block supplied with it.

Clear Above, Sunlit Yellow Below

Splitting a rising form into clear and yellow makes the movement legible: the glassy upper reach seems to be lifting off the coloured mass below, and the eye follows the change upward. The yellow is laid deep through the body with amber streaks following the twist from end to end, so the colour has grain rather than flatness, and it thins to clear in a soft passage rather than a line. Every face is polished, which keeps the yellow reading as depth inside the resin.

Set it on a console or a long sideboard, or on a broad shelf with daylight behind it, since light coming through sets the yellow glowing. A plain pale wall shows the clear crest, which disappears against a busy one. Across a room it is a warm upright; the amber streaks show only up close.

Yellow and Clear, the Black Block, and Delivery

Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The yellow can be deepened toward amber or lifted toward lemon, the clear upper reach extended or held to the crest, and the amber streaks drawn denser or fewer; the black block can be replaced by a clear acrylic disc or a pale stone. It is packed on its block in one crate, and a single handler raises it by the block, never by the crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Glass-clear resin lifting off a yellow mass belongs with our organic sculptures; amber streaks in sunlit resin suit our resin sculptures, and a warm upright for a sunny room joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
