White to Green Bolster Seat Cast Resin Chair, 70cm, with a rounded bolster seat and cylindrical legs, shown on a plain white background by Giant Sculptures.
White to Green Bolster Seat Cast Resin Chair - 70cm $3,37500
Description

This chair is frosted resin graded from milky white at the crest and at the feet to a strong green through the middle. The seat is a fat rounded bolster cast in the same material rather than upholstered, the back is a plain rounded panel, and the four legs are plain cylinders.

Milk at the Crest, Green at the Seat

The grade from milky white to green is built through the section rather than sprayed on, so it follows the form and cannot be worn off an arris. The bolster seat is cast as part of the shell and its curve is worked back by hand until it runs smoothly into the back panel. The four legs are turned true and polished, and the whole piece is frosted last, which is the step that decides how much of the green is seen. The underside of the seat is worked to the same grade as the top, since a frosted chair is looked up into from a low seat beside it.

At 70cm to the top of the back this is a dining or occasional chair, small in plan, so it runs in to a table without taking much room. The green sits at seat height and the white at the crest and the feet, which means the colour reads from a seated position and the piece almost disappears at the floor.

The Grade, the Bolster, and Ordering a Set

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The graded colour is what fills the time. Three elements are left to you. Where the grade changes is yours to set, the green is offered in another hue, and the bolster can be cast flatter for a firmer seat. Seat width and back height are settled at order. The group is made as one so that the point where the green gives way to white reads the same on each piece. The packing is designed round the bolster seat and the four leg ends; allow two people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A bolster seat cast in graded resin gives our art furniture a chair of soft colour; the bolster suits our organic sculptures, and the milk-to-green casting our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
