White Petal Pad Low Table, 127cm, with four overlapping white petal-shaped surfaces at varying heights on clear acrylic panel legs, shown against a plain white background.
White Petal Pad Low Table on Clear Acrylic Panels - 127cm $4,05000
Description

Four pads make the top of this low table, each shaped like a petal with a soft outline and no straight edge, and none of them sits at quite the height of its neighbour. Seen from above they overlap, so the plan reads as one drifting form rather than four separate surfaces. Clear acrylic panels hold them up, with dark brackets between.

Four Petal Pads Overlapping at Four Different Heights

Pads at four heights are harder to make convincing than pads at one, because the eye reads a stepped arrangement as a mistake unless the steps are deliberate enough to be obvious. The spread is therefore set out before anything is made and each pad is finished to its own height rather than trimmed to fit afterwards. The petal outlines are cut so that no two curves repeat, which is what stops the top reading as a flower, and every edge is rolled so the white catches a line of light all the way round. The clear panels beneath are sized so that each pad has its own support and none of them relies on a neighbour to stay level.

A top made of four overlapping pads has no single surface big enough for a tray, which makes it a piece to look at rather than one to work on: in front of a sofa on a rug, in a bay window, in the middle of a seating group. It reads best from standing, since the overlaps only show from above. The white pads sit forward against a dark floor and recede against a pale one, which decides how much of the clear support you see.

Pad Count, Height Spread and a Delivery in Pieces

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Pad count is set at order and can go from three to six, and the height spread between them is yours to choose - close together the top nearly reads as one surface, well apart it reads as four. The pads are offered in this white, a soft grey, a sand or a colour matched to a fabric. Plan size is cut to order. Pads, panels and brackets travel in one crate with the pads packed face to face, and the table goes together on site with a screwdriver in about twenty minutes. Each pad is a one-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Four petal pads drifting at different heights belong with our acrylic sculptures; a top with no straight edge anywhere leads to our organic sculptures, and a low table to be looked down on joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
