This console's top is a slab of white marble with broad green veining and a polished edge, carried on five acrylic tubes of flattened oval section that stand side by side in a row, touching along their whole height. The tubes are smoke grey and read almost as one translucent wall from the front.
The marble is cut and its edge polished on all four sides, which is what makes the veining read as continuous round the slab rather than stopping at an arris. Each tube is cast to a flattened oval section and the five are made to one length, because they stand touching and any difference shows as a gap at the top. They are not bonded to one another: each bears on its own footprint and the slab holds them in line. The tube tops are faced to one plane before the marble is bedded down, since a stone slab will not take up an error in a support.
It is a hall or entrance console, a surface to stand at rather than sit beside. The five tubes read as one translucent wall from the front and as five separate forms from an angle, so the approach to it matters. White marble with green veining wants a plain floor near it rather than a competing pattern, and the tubes pick up whatever colour that floor is.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The tube nesting is the reason. At order, three things are open. The marble is selected from what is in stock, so the veining is agreed before work starts. The tubes can be tinted, and their number changes with the length of the top. The marble length and the tube height are named by you. For a matching group, the run of the veining is set once and carried through it. The polished marble edge and the five tubes are crated apart, and the marble travels on edge with its arrises protected. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Five smoke-grey tubes under green-veined marble give our art furniture a console; the row of ovals suits our geometric sculptures, the tubes our acrylic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
