White Marble Top Amber Cone Base Side Table - 60cm
White Marble Top Amber Cone Base Side Table - 60cm $2,69800
Description

This marble and cast resin side table stacks three materials in a straight column. The top is a disc of white marble, polished flat, with grey veining running across it in broad diagonal drifts. It is carried on a slim stem finished in dark bronze, which drops into a black collar and then into the base. The base is a solid cone of amber resin, widest at the floor, its colour deepening towards the centre where the material is greatest and clearing at the outer faces. The marble oversails the collar by some way, so the top appears to float above the cone.

Stone Carried Above a Solid Amber Cone

Three materials, and the piece is arranged so each is seen on its own. The marble is polished flat and its grey veining runs in broad diagonal drifts, no two tops identical, and it oversails the collar beneath by enough that its edge is read all the way round. The stem is slim and finished in dark bronze, matt rather than bright, and it is sized to be as narrow as the stone allows. The base is the mass: a solid amber cone whose colour deepens towards its middle and clears at the outer faces, so it looks heavier at the centre than at the rim. Stone, metal and resin appear once each, in that order from the top, and nothing is asked to imitate anything else.

At 60cm it sits between side-table and occasional-table height, which suits a reading chair, the end of a sofa or a bedroom. Three materials in one column means it does not need company; a plain wall and a plain floor suit it best. The marble top is the pale element in the piece and reads strongest against a dark floor or a dark wall. The amber cone wants light coming past it rather than at it, which is what shows the depth in the centre. Indoors only.

The Stone, the Stem, and the Lead Time

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The stone top is what fills the time. Three things are yours to choose. The stone is offered in other marbles, the stem can be finished in chrome or a warm brass, and the cone is tinted to a colour you choose. The collar between them is fixed in black. The top diameter and the overall height follow your figures. The direction the grey veining runs can be held across a group, provided the group is ordered as one. The stone top and the brass stem must be padded first, and then it is a two-person job to walk it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Marble, bronze-toned metal and amber resin stacked in one column suit our geometric sculptures; the side table itself joins our art furniture, and the clean treatment our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
