This console table has a white marble top with fully rounded ends and straight sides between them, so the plan reads as a slim racetrack rather than a hard-cornered rectangle. It stands on a single bronze-finished column that narrows to a twist at its middle and flares open again above and below, and the whole thing sits on a flat rectangular base plate.
The twist is a single quarter-turn taken through the narrowest part of the column, so the two flares above and below it face different ways and the piece looks quite different from the front and from either end. The marble is white with grey veining running the length of the top, and the veining is not symmetrical about the centre line, which is what stops the rounded top reading as a manufactured blank. The top edge is eased rather than square, so the marble catches a highlight all the way round its outline.
Its top stands above ordinary console level, at a height to be worked at standing rather than looked down into: a hall where post is dropped, a landing, a showroom or the wall behind a dining table. Its narrow depth keeps it out of a walking line. It suits pale plaster, oak and unpolished brass, and the bronze column reads warm against a cool marble in the same piece. Indoor use only.
As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The marble is selected rather than specified: white with grey veining is the standard, but the block a top is cut from decides how heavy the veining runs and where it falls, so two tops are never the same and a repeat order is a comparable piece rather than a matching one. Where a quieter top is wanted a near-plain white can be looked for at a wait. The column is offered in this bronze, in blackened steel and in polished stainless, and the base plate is finished to match the column or left in a pale stone to read with the top instead. Its length is set to suit the wall it will stand against, keeping the rounded ends, and it can be made to stand at an ordinary console level instead. The top and the column travel separately and are brought together on site, with the marble lifted flat by two people and lowered onto the column rather than slid across it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A twisted bronze column under rounded marble makes this console part of our art furniture; the bronze-finished metal belongs with our metal sculptures, and its turning, flaring line with our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
