White Gold Leaf Apple Resin Sculpture, 11cm, with gold-flecked white body and gilded curled stem and leaf, shown on a plain white background.
White Gold Leaf Apple Resin Sculpture - 11cm $1,41700
Description

A small apple in an opaque white body flecked with gold leaf, with a curled stem and a single leaf standing up from the shoulder. The stem and leaf are gilded and are cast in one piece with the fruit rather than applied to it. Small enough to be set down anywhere, and delivered without a stand.

Cast in One Piece, Stem and All

At this size everything is a seam problem. An apple with a separately made stem would be quicker and would let the stem be finer, and it would also put a joint at the one place a hand goes when it picks the thing up, which is where a joint always fails. So the stem and the leaf come out of the same tool as the body, which means the tool has to release a thin curled form standing proud of a sphere - the hardest thing to draw out of a mould without tearing it. The stem is therefore drawn thicker than a real one and curled rather than straight, because a curve lifts out where a straight taper locks.

It is meant to be picked up, so put it where a hand reaches: a desk, a bedside table, a shelf beside a chair. It is far too small to carry a room and looks lost on a wide surface with nothing near it. The gold only fires when something strikes it directly, so a lamp on the same surface does more than a bright ceiling. At 11cm it takes almost no space on a desk and is heavy for its size, which is most of the pleasure of handling it.

The Gilding, the Flecks, and Delivery

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. The flecking is run heavier or sparser, the body is tinted, and the gilding is taken off the leaf so only the stem carries it. It is also cast at other sizes, where the stem can be drawn finer because the tool has more to hold on to. A clear body is offered and shows the flecks suspended through the depth rather than against white, which is a different effect and a quieter one. It is sent in one small padded box and lifts in one hand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Fruit rather than flower is organic sculpture; the flecked body is resin sculpture; and something this small is indoor sculpture.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
