Where the arms would be, this cast resin sculpture has two flat sheets of material: one hangs straight down beside the body, and the other sweeps out wide to the opposite side like a wing. Above them a short neck block rises at one shoulder. Everything is frosted and colourless, so the piece reads as a milky figure caught in one sideways gesture. A block of black stone carries it.
The two sheets are worked to opposite jobs: the hanging one is kept upright and close, and the wing is thinned as it sweeps out so it reads as moving rather than heavy. Both faces of each sheet are brought to the same flatness, and their outer edges are kept to a consistent thickness along their whole run. The wing is also where the piece is most easily knocked, so its outer corners are eased slightly, which keeps an edge that survives being handled. The stone is dressed flat and the figure pinned to it.
A piece that reads sideways wants a run of surface rather than a corner, so a long console, a low bookcase top or the centre of a dining sideboard suits it better than a plinth. Because the wing reaches well out past the body, leave clear space on that side and nothing directly behind, or the outline closes up. It answers a window well: light from the wing side lifts the sheet bright and leaves the hanging one in shade, which is the reading the shape was cut for.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Wing depth is open, from these broad sheets to a narrower blade closer to a modelled arm, and the sweep angle is decided at order. Colour can be carried through the body as a grey, a green or a soft amber, and gold or silver leaf can be worked in along the wing edges alone. A full polish is available in place of the frost. Sizes are cut to order. It arrives with the wing cased and the block boxed apart from the figure, assembles by hand on site, and needs two people only because of the spread rather than the weight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A torso whose arm sweeps out like a wing belongs with our classic sculptures; flat sheets of material in place of limbs lead to our abstract sculptures, and a frosted body on black stone joins our resin sculptures.

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
