Cut off above the knee and below the neck, this cast resin sculpture raises one arm from the hip and crosses it over the chest to meet the opposite shoulder. That arm encloses a gap, so the piece is not a solid mass but a form with a window through the middle of it, and the window changes shape as you walk round. The whole surface is worked in broad frosted planes rather than modelled, and it stands on a block of black stone.
A frosted surface is the least forgiving finish a plane can carry. There is no gloss to bounce the eye off it, so every face has to be flatted to the same grade and every arris between two faces has to be dead straight, including the faces that end up against a wall. Where the arm crosses the chest the two masses come within a few centimetres of each other and the abrasive that suits an open face will not reach into that gap, so the inside edges of the window are cut with narrower tools and take longer than the rest of the figure put together. The stone block is a separate piece of material, dressed flat on top so the resin foot beds down on it without rocking, and it is pinned rather than glued.
At 43cm it is made for a console, a sideboard or a broad shelf, off the floor, and it needs to be approached from the side the arm crosses towards, since that is the view where the window opens widest. Give it a dark ground: on a pale wall a frosted body loses its arrises and flattens into a silhouette, while against timber or a deep paint every plane comes back. It sits comfortably in a hall where people pass it at different angles rather than sit in front of it.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The body is offered in this frost or taken to a full polish, which turns the same planes into a set of mirrors and is a different object; a tint can be carried through the resin as an amethyst, a smoke or a pale grey. The block comes in this black stone, a white marble or a dark timber, and its footprint is set at order. Scale is cut to order, and a second figure can be cut to mirror this one. Figure and block travel in one crate in separate trays and go together on site with no tools, and each part is a one-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A torso sweeping an arm across its chest belongs with our classic sculptures; a window opening through the form leads to our abstract sculptures, and broad frosted planes join our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
