White Frosted Guardian Lion Column Set of Three - 185cm
White Frosted Guardian Lion Column Set of Three - 185cm $31,54300
Description

Three columns, each square in plan, make up this set, each in a frosted resin that turns the material a soft translucent white, with a fine streaked texture running the length of every face. A line is scored round each shaft just below the top to mark a cap, and on each cap sits a small guardian lion left clear and glassy, so the animals read as ice against the frosted shafts. The three heights step up from one to the next and are sold together.

Clear Lions Over Three Frosted Shafts

Frosting is a finish that forgives nothing underneath it: a dip or a ripple in the face, which polish would hide in reflections, shows on a matt surface as a patch of different grey. Each shaft is therefore trued flat before the frost goes on, and the streaked texture is drawn in one direction along every face so the columns read as a matched set. The scored line below each cap is cut after frosting, which gives it a crisp edge. The lions are left polished and clear, the only glossy surfaces in the set, so the eye goes to them first.

Set in a row they step up like a flight of stairs, which suits a long hall, a landing or the space along a staircase; spaced apart they can frame a doorway or a fireplace. A dark wall behind them makes the frosted white glow and the clear lions sparkle, and light from the side picks out the streaked texture of the faces.

The Set, the Frost and Delivery

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. The three are sold together as one set at one price. The frost can be run lighter for a more translucent shaft, or left off altogether for clear polished columns, and the lions can be frosted to match or gilded instead. Each column travels upright in its own crate with its lion boxed separately and seated by hand on arrival; two people should handle each shaft. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Three frosted columns under clear lions belong with our lion statues; small lions keeping watch from each cap lead to our figurative sculptures, and resin turned white by frosting joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
