The base of this dining table is modelled as a crumpled mass: broad and irregular where it meets the floor, drawn in as it rises, and finishing narrow under the centre of the disc. Every facet of it is soft rather than sharp, as though something had been crushed and then smoothed over. Above it a round frosted disc sits level at dining height.
Crumpling is easy to model badly. Random creases read as damage, and regular ones read as a pattern, so the facets are set out to gather toward the top and open toward the floor, which gives the mass a direction and stops it looking like an accident. Every arris is then softened by hand, because a sharp crease in a white gloss catches a highlight and turns into a line drawing rather than a form. The narrow head has to carry the whole disc, so it is built up internally where nothing shows and left visually slight where everything does. No two bases crush the same way.
Its round top seats four without crowding and the pedestal base means nobody has a leg between their knees, which is the practical argument for this shape. The frost keeps the surface calm under overhead light where a clear top would throw reflections across the room. Put it where the base can be seen: an irregular mass reads as sculpture from a distance and disappears under a long tablecloth. It suits a kitchen, a garden room, or a small dining room with a plain floor.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. Disc size is made to order and a wider top will seat six on the same base. The frost can be replaced by a clear or tinted disc, and the base is offered in other lacquer colours and in matt. The degree of crumpling can be taken further or eased right back to a plain taper. The disc is lifted onto its base in the room, which is what allows the top to come through a normal door flat rather than being carried assembled. The base is a two-person lift and awkward rather than heavy. The disc travels on edge, crated, with its faces sleeved. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A mass modelled as though crushed belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a pedestal that leaves every knee free leads to our organic sculptures, and a table for four in a bright kitchen joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
