White & Red Cut Sphere on Marble Resin Sculpture - 46cm, interlocking scooped forms in white with a red ribbon band, on a black marble base, plain white background.
White & Red Cut Sphere on Marble Resin Sculpture - 46cm $2,02500
Description

This resin ball is milky white through the body of each scoop, with a band of translucent red that follows the dividing wall and wraps round the outside. The two hollows turn past each other, so the red reads as one continuous ribbon tying the white halves together. A red stem carries the ball down to a dark marble foot that ships with it.

A Red Ribbon Through Milky White

Two colours need a clean meeting line, and here the red is laid only where the wall turns, so it traces the cut itself. The white is opaque enough to catch light on its surface and pale enough to show the red through its thinner edges, which gives the ribbon a soft glow at its borders. Both colours are polished to the same finish, so the eye reads one smooth object in two tones rather than two materials joined together at a seam. The stem carries the red on down to the marble.

At 46cm it belongs on a side table, a console or a shelf where it is seen at close range. White and red together suit a modern room of pale floors and dark furniture, and the red brightens with sun from one side. It is striking in a monochrome scheme, where it supplies the only colour in the room and draws the eye straight to it.

The Red Band, the White and Delivery

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The ribbon is offered in amber, blue or black instead of red, the white can be cast clear so that only the band carries colour, and the turn of the scoops can be tightened. Other stones and proportions are available for the foot. Ball and foot are boxed together but wrapped apart, and the ball is raised with both palms under its outer surface rather than by the stem. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two white scoops tied by a red ribbon belong with our organic sculptures; milky white resin banded in red leads to our resin sculptures, and a vivid note for a monochrome room joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
