Colourless from the foot to every fingertip, this long cast resin wave rears up at each end into a crest, the two leaning in until only an open gap separates their tips. The left crest has an oval opening near its shoulder and divides at the top, one prong standing straight up and the other stretching out over the gap; the right crest curves back towards it, holed close to its slender point. Midway between them a small upright cluster of fingers rises from the foot, while a low arm with a round hole runs out along the ground at the left end and a tall, branching finger of spray stands at the right.
With no tint anywhere in it, the wave is read through its edges and highlights alone. Light runs along the rippled foot, catches the rims of the openings and the tips of the fingers, and lets the room behind show through every part, so the piece changes with whatever it is set against. The two crests are drawn unequally: the left one climbs on a long slant to its fork, the right one stands more upright before it bends back, and the gap left between their tips keeps the water moving rather than closing it into an arch. The short spire between them stays well below both, a quieter rise in the middle of the run.
Long in its run and shallow from front to back, it needs a sideboard, a credenza or a deep shelf, seen face on so that both crests and the space between their tips register at a glance. A dark painted wall, deep timber panelling or a window at dusk gives the clear resin an outline to stand against; against pale plaster it turns quiet and almost disappears. A lamp to one side sets every ripple along the foot glinting. Indoor use only.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. One wave is supplied, colourless throughout. To order, it can be tinted evenly from end to end or graded up from the foot, the two crests can be leaned further in or stood more upright, and the cluster of fingers between them can be carried up or left out. Carry it by the foot, one hand under each end and never under a crest, and set it down along a firm, level top. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A colourless wave whose two crests lean in across an open gap belongs among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
