Turquoise Fanned Spiral Resin Sculpture, 63cm, with twisting translucent fans on a black rectangular base against a plain light grey background.
Turquoise Fanned Spiral Resin Sculpture - 63cm $2,30200
Description

A turquoise that leans towards green, between sea glass and a clear tropical blue, tints the cast form from its stem to the tips of its fans. Three fluted fans twist round each other: the widest curves out into a broad wing whose scooped interior is left clear and glassy, the second lifts behind the wing to a turquoise-edged rim, and a small curl turns over above them. The colour gathers most strongly in the stem and in the grooves between the ribs, and the base is black marble.

Turquoise Leaning Green Through Every Flute

Turquoise suits this spiral because the form is all movement, and the colour has the look of water caught mid-turn. The ribs run in long sweeping lines across the wing and knit into a tight lattice on the fan beyond it, and the turquoise settles darkest into their grooves, so each pattern is drawn in colour. Inside the wing the resin is left almost clear, a glassy scoop that the eye drops into before following the outer ribs round to the next fan. Above them the small curl takes a paler wash of the same turquoise.

At 63cm tall on black marble it suits a console in a sunroom, a garden-facing lounge or an entrance hall, wherever there is daylight to bring the turquoise alive. A white wall shows the green in it, a pale blue wall the blue. Set it a little forward of the wall so the clear scoop of the wing can catch light from behind. Indoor use only.

Turquoise Depth, Marble and Lifting

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. A commission can turn the turquoise greener or bluer, deepen it through the fans or leave more of the form clear, and the scoop of the wing can be tinted where a solid colour is wanted. Its marble can be white or grey instead of black. Lift the piece by its block with a steadying hand at the stem, and never by the rims of the fans or by the small curl. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Sea-coloured ribs turning round a single stem bring this turquoise spiral into our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
