The Traditional Three Elephants Advancing Bronze Relief is a commanding 100cm high-relief wall panel, presenting three tusked elephants surging forward from a richly worked background of rocky terrain and stylised clouds.
This panel is cast using the traditional lost-wax method, a process that preserves every surface nuance from the original sculpted model. The result is a high-relief bronze wall sculpture of exceptional depth and resolution: individual wrinkles in each elephant's hide are rendered with precision, tusks project boldly from the composition, and the receding landscape layers create genuine three-dimensional shadow play. The finish is an antique copper-bronze patina, warm reddish-brown in the raised passages and deepening to dark ochre in the recessed terrain, giving the panel the visual character of a centuries-old artefact. The integral stepped rectangular frame is cast in the same bronze and finished to match, completing the panel as a self-contained bronze wall relief sculpture without the need for a separate mount or plinth.
At 100cm in height and 80kg, this is a substantial piece suited to grand interiors. It reads powerfully on stone-clad or plastered walls in neutral, warm, or dark palettes. Entrance halls, reception rooms, private studies, and corporate lobbies all provide fitting contexts. The relief format means it occupies wall plane rather than floor space, making it practical even in rooms where a freestanding sculpture of equivalent presence would be prohibitive.
We offer a range of patina finishes beyond the antique copper-bronze shown, including dark verdigris, cold black, and warm golden-bronze. The composition can also be scaled to suit a specific wall or architectural setting. If you are working to a particular dimension or have a commission in mind inspired by the work of specific sculptural traditions, contact us before ordering and we will advise on the most suitable approach.
