Traditional Longhorn Bull Head Bronze Bust by Giant Sculptures in warm golden-brown patina, mounted on a stepped hardwood plinth with an "Old Chisholm" brass nameplate.
Traditional Longhorn Bull Head Bronze Bust - 35cm $7,31600
Description

The Traditional Longhorn Bull Head Bronze Bust stands 35cm tall on its hardwood plinth, presenting a forward-lowered bull head with horns that sweep dramatically wide in a posture of contained, coiled power. The bust terminates in a deliberately rough, broken-edge form rather than a clean horizontal cut, giving it the character of a trophy fragment cast in permanent metal.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Produced using the lost-wax casting process, every surface detail in this bronze bull bust is resolved by hand before and after casting. The facial and neck musculature is rendered with anatomical precision: the ridge of the brow, the weight of the dewlap, and the coarse texture of the hide are each modelled with restrained realism. The warm golden-brown patina sits in the mid-tones of aged bronze, with subtle tonal variation across the planes of the face. A polished brass nameplate reading "OLD CHISHOLM" is set into the front face of the stepped wooden base, adding a sense of provenance and occasion to the piece. The plinth itself is a trapezoidal stepped form in warm reddish-brown hardwood, providing stable visual grounding for the dramatic horizontal spread of the horns.

This is a piece suited to interiors where presence is the priority: a substantial library, a study lined with dark furniture, a boardroom, or a double-height entrance hall. The bronze and brass tones respond well to warm incandescent lighting, and the rich hardwood base integrates naturally with mahogany, walnut, or leather-upholstered surroundings. Its scale and weight, at 15kg, give it the authority of a collector's object rather than an accessory.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include dark brown, black, verde green, and natural warm gold. The piece can be scaled up or down on commission, and the nameplate text can be personalised to your specification. If you are considering a commission inspired by the work of traditional American Western sculptors, we welcome the conversation. Contact us before ordering to discuss any requirements.

Delivery to Your Address

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
