The Temple Canopy Abstract Wood Sculpture at 45cm is a scale architectural model of an open-frame temple canopy hand-built from pale natural blonde wood, presenting the structural skeleton of a Tang-Dynasty pavilion in cross-section. At 45cm tall, the canopy presents a sloping ridged roof with finely modelled rafters, two vertical supporting columns and a third taller post at the rear, and a network of horizontal crossbeams that frames the open interior space. The piece sits on a flat wood base that completes the architectural composition. Each canopy is hand-built individually, so beam alignment and grain figure vary between pieces.
Our artisans hand-cut every roof beam, ridge, rafter, column and crossbeam from solid wood and assemble the canopy with full structural fidelity to the East-Asian timber tradition. The piece is finished raw to preserve the natural blonde tone and the visible grain figure across each structural member. This 45cm temple canopy sculpture works as a tabletop or console statement in interiors that welcome a contemplative, architecturally literate focal point: designer studies, boutique hotel reception desks, library shelves, gallery-style residential rooms, and creative agency reception areas. The natural wood palette pairs cleanly with brushed brass, oak, off-white plaster, raw linen, and warm directional lighting. Indoor display only.
All of our sculptures are fully customisable. Whether you require a different size, an alternative finish, or a bespoke colour, we can tailor this piece to suit your exact vision. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
