Teal Rosette-Scaled Closed Loop Resin Sculpture (44cm) by Giant Sculptures, a closed loop covered in pointed teal rosette scales fading to clear, mounted on a clear block against a light grey background.
Teal Rosette-Scaled Closed Loop Resin Sculpture - 44cm $2,08500
Description

A loop closed on itself and leaning, with every part of the wall built out of rosettes of pointed scales. Teal sits heaviest over the crown and drains toward the foot, where the run of the loop resting on the block clears almost to colourless, and every scale holds a fraction more or less of it than its neighbour. A clear block is supplied, thin enough to put a line of light under the loop and nothing more.

How Big One Rosette Is

A surface built entirely from rosettes has to decide how big one rosette is, and every other decision in the piece follows from that. They are set close enough here that the loop still reads as a single form at a pace, and the rosettes at the crown are drawn a fraction wider than those at the foot so the eye arrives at the top first. Rosettes this dense have to be formed in the resin, because anything applied to a curve this tight would lift at the edges. Each scale is domed and polished on its own, so the wall glitters rather than shines.

A shelf at chest height suits it, where the rosettes are within reach of the eye. It needs a dark ground. Against pale paint the scales flatten into one textured area. A single lamp is enough: every scale takes its own highlight and several hundred of them arrive at once. From the doorway it is a dark ring, and the rosettes are entirely a close-range fact.

Rosette Size, Colour and Getting It Home

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The rosettes are made coarser, the teal is taken toward amber, and the clear block is exchanged for black stone. Coarsen the rosettes and the wall thickens to carry them, so the opening through the loop closes a little. Block first, loop second, and the loop is always lifted with both hands under its lowest run, never by the crown, where the rosettes stand proudest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A leaning loop of teal rosettes, clearing almost to colourless at its foot, belongs among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
