An armchair cast in translucent teal resin. The back and arms are one continuous fat tube, curving up from the front on one side, across behind the sitter and down again, with its two ends finishing in blunt rounded stops. Below it the seat is a shallow dome. Four stout cylindrical legs carry the whole thing, and they are noticeably paler than the tube above.
Everything on this chair is round. The tube that forms the back and both arms has a constant diameter along its entire length, so it reads as a single bent member rather than as a frame, and its two ends stop dead in flat circles that face forward at each side of the sitter. The seat is a shallow dome rather than a dish, convex where a seat is usually concave, and it meets the tube at the back without any junction line. Because the material is translucent and the tube is thick, the far side of the tube is visible through the near side and the two curves cross, which is the strongest single thing to look at on the whole chair. The teal is deeper in the tube than in the legs and there is no join between them. The legs are set well out at the corners.
Its seat sits well down within the curl of the tube, which makes it a chair for lounging, not for a dining table; it is broad as well, so give it space and turn it to face the room, where the crossing curves can be read. It suits a living room, a wide landing or a hotel lounge. Given light from behind, the whole chair lights up and the tube glows along its length; against a window it becomes a coloured silhouette. It takes a cushion but does not need one. Four flat feet want a hard floor or a firm rug. Indoors only.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The colour is the first choice and the leg diameter the second, and between them they decide whether the chair reads heavy or light: a deep teal on slim legs looks poised, a pale mix on fat legs looks solid. The tube diameter is the third, and it changes the whole object, since a thinner member reads as a frame and a fatter one as a roll. Where the two ends stop is also open: forward of the seat as here, level with it, or continued round to meet in a closed loop. The seat, the back and the legs are each dimensioned to order. One crate per chair, and one person can carry it despite the bulk. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A chair rolled from one fat teal tube is seating for our art furniture; its translucent cast suits our resin sculptures, and its swollen, rounded outline our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
