Teal Rippled Dish on Black Grid Stand Resin Sculpture - 60cm
Teal Rippled Dish on Black Grid Stand Resin Sculpture - 60cm $2,15900
Description

A long, shallow dish of teal resin, its surface rippled and dimpled like water moving in a pool. It rests on a stand of crossed black metal bars, stacked in a lattice, which lifts it clear of the surface beneath. The teal is clear and bright and deepens where the resin is thickest.

A Rippled Teal Dish on a Metal Lattice

The dish is a surface of water captured in resin: its ripples are modelled across the whole bowl, soft and irregular, so the light moves over it as it would over a pool. The rim is thin and the dish shallow, which keeps it light and lets the colour stay bright. The stand is its opposite, a rigid lattice of straight black bars laid crosswise, and the meeting of the two, a soft pool on a hard grid, is the whole idea of the piece. The dish rests on the top of the lattice.

It suits a sideboard, a console or a coffee table, as an ornament in its own right or as a place for keys and small objects. Light from above or from a window beside it makes the ripples shimmer. On a pale surface the teal glows; on dark wood the black stand disappears and the dish seems to float.

Colour, Stand and Delivery

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The dish can be made in clear, blue, green or amber, and the stand can be finished in a brass tone, a bronze tone or white. A brass-toned stand gives it a warmer, more formal look, and a white one a lighter, Scandinavian feel. The dish can also be drawn out to a greater length. It comes in a padded carton, and the dish is taken out with both hands beneath it, never by its thin rim. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A rippled teal dish raised on a lattice of black bars sits naturally with our art furniture, our metal sculptures and our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
