Teal Graded Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture, 163cm, curved form shifting from deep teal to clear glassy fins, on a black square base, plain light background.
Teal Graded Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture - 163cm $6,68300
Description

An arched upright in cast resin graded from a deep teal through the standing body to clear in the side fin and the open top, so the colour drains out of the form as it rises and turns. The fin is thrown out to one side and the flare opens at the top, both thinning to glassy edges, and the whole form rises from a square black base that comes with it.

Teal Draining to Clear Through the Arch

Grading this form from the foot upward changes where its weight seems to sit. A dense teal low in the body anchors it, and as the colour thins into the side fin and the open top those parts turn almost to light, so the arch appears to lift away from its own base. The grade is poured rather than painted, with no line where one tone stops, and because the body is thick at the foot and thin at its edges, the colour follows the thickness of the resin as much as its height. Every face is polished, inside and outside the flared top alike.

At 163cm with its base it stands best on the floor of a hallway, a wide landing or a long gallery, where there is room for the fin to reach out to the side. A plain pale wall behind it lets the teal read clearly, and side light from a window runs along the clear edges and brightens them, where flat light leaves the colour dull.

The Grade, the Base, and Delivery

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The teal can be carried higher toward the flare or held low in the body, taken deeper toward petrol or paler toward sea glass, and the base made in a paler stone. Casting and base are packed apart, each in its own crate, and joined where the piece will stand. It needs a pair of handlers in gloves, who keep their hands off the flare and take the weight under the standing body. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An arch whose colour drains away as it rises belongs with our organic sculptures; teal graded through cast resin suits our resin sculptures, and an arch sized for an entrance joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
