A frosted teal bowl cut into deep vertical ribs that run from the foot right over the rim. The rim itself is left broken rather than turned level, so its line follows the tops of the ribs instead of cutting across them. It stands on the ring of its own base and is delivered without a plinth.
A broken rim on a bowl this wide is not a decorative flourish, it is what the ribs make possible. A level rim on a vessel this size is a single continuous line and any waviness in it is read at once, because the eye compares it against a circle it can imagine perfectly. That forces either a thick rim or a very slow cure. Let the rim follow the ribs instead and there is no continuous line left to judge: each rib ends where it ends, the eye reads a row of verticals rather than one horizontal, and the wall can be as thin as the ribs will carry. The ribs are doing two jobs, and the second is invisible.
Sixty centimetres across is a serious footprint and it wants a surface to itself - a low table, an island, a hearth. It is shallow for its width so it is looked into from above as much as across at, which makes height the thing to get right: below waist level it works and above it the interior disappears. The frosting takes light softly and the ribs throw their own shadows down the inside, so a single source above it does more than an evenly lit room.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The ribs are spaced wider or closer, the rim is turned level for a quieter object, and the teal is run to a green or lifted almost to white. A polished finish is offered and turns the bowl transparent, which changes what it is for rather than how it looks. It is also cast at other diameters, and a deeper section is made. It leaves in a single crate, bedded on a cut ring with the rim faced the whole way round, and two pairs of hands take it from underneath. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ribbed vessel you can fill belongs with our art furniture; a rim left broken sits among our organic sculptures, and a frosted teal bowl for a low table joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
