Teal Frosted Looping Band Resin Sculpture (110cm) by Giant Sculptures, a looping band on a black marble base, shown against a plain white background.
Teal Frosted Looping Band Resin Sculpture - 110cm $7,01900
Description

A wide band that rises, turns over and comes back on itself, leaving an open loop through the middle, and where it doubles back the band passes behind itself. It is frosted teal, pale where the band is thin and deep where it thickens at the turns. It stands on a broad black marble base that is included with it.

One Band Turning Over Into an Open Loop

A band that loops has one surface that becomes its other: the face that rises on the outside finishes on the inside of the turn. Frosting the resin is what makes that legible, because a frosted surface shows its thickness as depth of colour, and the turns, where the band doubles, read as the darkest parts. The loop is left open so that light passes straight through the centre, and the black base is broad enough to anchor a form that leans out over its own foot.

It wants the floor or a broad low plinth in a living room or a hall, with space to circle it, because the loop changes shape from every side. A pale wall behind it lets the teal hold its colour. Light from one side sets a gradient across the band. From a distance the loop reads as a single stroke, and the frosted depth of colour arrives nearer.

The Loop, the Tone and a Wide Crate

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Three points are open. The loop can be drawn wider or tighter, the teal can be made deeper or pushed towards green, and the base can be cut from a stone of another colour. Tighten the loop and the band narrows with it, since the turn has to stay open enough for the light. It travels in a wide crate with the base packed flat beneath, and two people set it on its base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Browse organic sculpture for more forms that loop and turn, contemporary sculpture for its kind of drawing, or indoor sculpture for pieces sized to a room.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
