Teal Faceted Long Boat Vessel Resin Sculpture (320cm) by Giant Sculptures, a translucent teal boat-shaped form with a sharp prow and faceted rim, shown against a plain white background.
Teal Faceted Long Boat Vessel Resin Sculpture - 320cm $44,88300
Description

A boat-shaped vessel cast in deep, translucent teal resin. One end rises to a sharp prow and the other tapers long and low, and between them the rim runs in irregular facets, like the edge of broken ice. The body is open along its length, and paler streaks move through the teal as the day changes.

A Long Hull in Deep Teal

At this length a vessel like this is read first as a single line and only then as a boat. The line is asymmetric on purpose, a sharp rising prow at one end and a long, low taper at the other, so the piece has a direction and seems to be moving. The faceted rim breaks the smooth teal body with flat, glinting planes, and the depth of colour in a casting of this size gives the teal the look of deep water. Every facet on the rim is left crisp and sharp.

Its place is a big room: a hotel lobby, a gallery, a long entrance hall or the length of an open-plan living area, placed parallel to a wall or across the line of approach. It wants distance to be seen whole. Daylight along its length lights the teal, and against a pale floor the colour stays clear. It can also be read from above, from a stair or a gallery.

Colour, Length and Moving a Long Casting

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The teal can be deepened, cleared or changed for a blue, an amber or a green, and the vessel can be made to another length. A clear casting shows the facets as lines of light and reads as ice rather than sea. Its crate is built to its length, and bringing it in takes lifting gear, several people and a straight path from the door. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A long teal hull whose rim breaks into facets like ice is shown among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and the indoor sculptures made for large spaces.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
