Teal Branching Scholar's Rock Resin Sculpture - 86cm
Teal Branching Scholar's Rock Resin Sculpture - 86cm $2,16100
Description

A teal branching scholar's rock, paler at the pointed crown and in the upper loops and deepening along the twisted stem to a strong sea colour at the foot. Its arms carry two near-circular rings and a scatter of smaller openings. Every face is polished, and black marble is supplied with it.

Sea Teal in a Branching Rock

Teal turns the branching rock to water. The colour gathers along the stem and round the rims of the rings and thins across the broad faces of the arms, so the outline is drawn in deep teal and the inside of each loop shows pale. Because the stem twists as it climbs, the deep colour spirals with it, and the piece looks different from every side. Every surface is polished, so each fold carries a moving highlight over the colour. The rings read as pale windows set in deep colour.

Its 86cm suits a credenza or a study shelf in a bright, cool room, where the teal reads clearly. Give the rings a window or an open view behind them rather than plain plaster. Seen from the side the twisting stem changes the outline, so place it where people pass at an angle as well as head on.

Teal, the Reach of the Arms, and Delivery

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The teal can go deeper toward petrol or paler toward aqua, and it can be swapped for green or blue. The arms can be drawn closer for a single cleft mass or taken wider, and the rings widened or tightened. Its black marble can be cut in a paler stone. It is crated upright with the arms wrapped and the stem braced in foam, and two people should place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teal rock branching into two rings belongs with our abstract sculptures; a stem that twists as it climbs sets it among our organic sculptures, and colour spiralling up the stem suits our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
