Description

This lounge chair is made in teal-tinted resin, with no seam showing anywhere between the seat and what carries it. The seat is a wide, deep bowl, and four stout legs, two at the front and two behind, drop straight from it to the floor. Colour gathers wherever the casting thickens, so the legs read a dark sea-glass teal, the rolled rim is traced by a thin line of the same shade, and the broad walls of the bowl clear to pale aqua.

Sea-Glass Teal Gathering Where the Resin Thickens

Tinted resin shows its depth as colour, and this chair is shaped to make use of it. Where the bowl is drawn thin it is almost transparent, a cool aqua wash with the room visible beyond; where it swells into the legs the teal concentrates until each one stands as a solid column of green-blue. At the bottom of the seat the heads of all four legs appear as dark teal knuckles. The rim is turned outward and polished, the edge meeting the forearms is soft, and every surface keeps a glassy shine.

A lounge chair keeps its sitter low and leaning back, so this one belongs beside a fireplace, in a reading nook or in a bedroom with space to walk round it. Teal reads coolest against white walls and pale stone, and warms a little beside oak or brass. Where daylight arrives from the side, the legs glow while the bowl stays clear. Indoor use only.

Mixing the Teal, Shaping the Seat, and the Crate

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. The teal can be mixed darker, until the bowl carries colour almost as strongly as the legs, or paler, until only the legs hold it, and the gloss can give way to a frosted finish if a softer look suits the room. Hollowing the seat further reclines the sitter, and the legs then stand wider apart to balance the chair. The chair leaves the workshop finished and wrapped, crated on its own, and two people lift it into place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Seamless from rim to floor, this chair joins our art furniture; its swelling bowl and legs suit our organic sculptures, and the teal tint sits with our resin sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
