Teal & Clear Rising Water Plume Resin Sculpture - 120cm, a swirling wave form rising from a churning teal base to a near-clear pointed tip, shown on a plain white background.
Teal & Clear Rising Water Plume Resin Sculpture - 120cm $4,32000
Description

A plume of water thrown straight up out of a churning foot, narrowing as it climbs and breaking into separate points at the very top. Teal is banked through the churning base and clears the whole way up, so the tip is almost colourless. Nothing comes under it. The base the water rises from is the foot.

Water Going Up

Modelled water has to be broken everywhere and clear at the same time, which are two requirements that work against each other. Most water in this range is falling or breaking; this one is rising, which means every surface on it runs the other way and the eye is carried up rather than down. Modelled water needs the material to hold a surface that is broken everywhere and never flat, and a cast body is the only way to keep it clear at the same time. Polished over a surface that is deliberately churned, so the light breaks up wherever it lands.

A hall, a landing or a conservatory, standing on the floor with space around it. A pale ground behind. The tip is clear and will vanish against anything dark. Light from behind runs up through the plume and makes the tip the brightest part of it. The plume reads as a rising line across a room, and the churn at the bottom only separates out close to.

Drawing the Plume Out, and Delivery

Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The plume is drawn out longer or cut back, the teal is taken higher up the body, and a block is supplied under the foot. Carry the teal further up and the tip stops being the end of the movement, which changes what the piece is about. Bedded round the churning foot with the tip boxed clear of everything, and stood up where it is going straight out of the crate. Two people, hands around the base and never on the tip. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A plume of teal water rising from a churning foot belongs to our organic sculptures; the clearing casting joins our resin sculptures, and a conservatory suits it among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
