Smoky Brown Folded Curl & Rising Spray Resin Sculpture, 98cm, S-shaped wave form with curled tendrils on a black base, set against a plain white background.
Smoky Brown Folded Curl & Rising Spray Resin Sculpture - 98cm $3,03900
Description

Tinted the smoky brown of strong tea, this splash folds the sheet at its base back on itself so tightly that it closes round an oval opening, then rises in an S-shaped column and curls over at the top into one long finger reaching far out to the side. Beneath that finger the crest breaks into a few more whose tips swell into round drops; further droplets stand in a row along the sweep, and at the foot a final curl of spray flicks up. The tint is deepest at the foot.

Strong Tea Brown From the Loop to the Crest

A smoky tint suits a form this full of folds, because every change of direction shows as a change of tone. At the foot, where the sheet doubles back and gathers, the brown deepens almost to bitter chocolate; along the open sweep it lightens to a translucent tea through which the room behind can be seen; and in the droplets it fades to a pale smoke. The long finger at the top is the boldest stroke on the piece, reaching out well past the foot, so the whole splash leans into the space beside it. The resin is finished glossy throughout.

At 98cm this belongs on a low plinth or a broad credenza, by a stair landing or along a hall, where people pass it at about eye height. Warm woods, leather and brass sit well with the tea-brown tint, and lamplight or a nearby window brings the colour up to amber at the thinner edges. Leave room beside it for the long finger to reach out. Indoor use only.

Brown Tint, the Long Finger and Delivery

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The price covers one splash with its black marble block, sold individually. As a bespoke commission the brown can be taken lighter towards honey or darker towards coffee, the long finger at the crest drawn out further or curled in, and the droplets along the sweep made fuller; another stone can stand in for the marble. It is crated upright, its long finger and crest padded, and it takes two people to raise it by the folded foot onto its block. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Smoky brown water folding into a loop and reaching out at its crest in one long finger stands among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
