Smoked Glass & Mauve Loop Cluster Round Table - 100cm
Smoked Glass & Mauve Loop Cluster Round Table - 100cm $3,77800
Description

A round coffee table with a smoked glass top over a knot of resin loops. The top is a disc of smoked tempered glass with a polished edge, grey and clear. Under its centre sits a cluster of cast resin loops tinted a dusky mauve, every one a closed ring of even thickness, linked through one another like a heavy chain: a broad loop stands at the foot and the rest rise around it in arches, three reaching up to meet the underside of the glass. The cluster is compact, so the disc reaches well beyond it on every side.

Mauve Loops Linked Beneath a Broad Glass Disc

The base is a chain gathered into a knot. The loops pass through one another, so the eye picks up one band and loses it behind its neighbour. Where two loops cross, the mauve doubles and darkens; along a single run it thins to a pale smoky pink. Because the knot is compact and set at the centre, the glass overhangs it generously all round, and from a seat the top reads as a grey disc floating over a knot of colour. Seen from above, the smoked glass lays one grey veil over every loop.

It is made for the heart of a low seating group, and it is worth looking down into, because the loops near the floor read best from above. The glass takes trays and glasses. With the base gathered at the centre, knees and feet can come in close under the overhang. A plain pale floor lets the whole tangle read; a patterned rug shows through both the glass and the loops and confuses them. Indoors only.

How Many Loops, How Wide They Spread, and the Glass Above

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. The loop count is the first decision: a few loops leave the knot open and easy to follow, and more of them gather it into a dense mass. How far the cluster spreads is second, from this compact knot at the centre to a wider arrangement reaching out towards the rim. Third is the glass, from this smoke through a clear disc that lets the mauve read at full strength to a bronze that warms it. Loop colour and glass diameter are quoted together. Cluster and glass travel in two crates and the disc beds onto the loops on site. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Mauve loops knotted beneath smoked glass suit our abstract sculptures; as a coffee table this piece belongs to our art furniture, and the tinted castings to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
