Smoke seems to drift through this petal shell. Its centre is a milky, near-clear resin, and through it curl wisps of sepia and dark brown, gathering in one warm amber patch high on the seat. Towards the edge the resin darkens to charcoal, so a black line runs round the lip and the shoulders and out to both pointed tips. A rounded crest lifts the back between two low lobes, and the chair swivels on a matt black stem above a black disc.
Everything here sits in greys and browns, like a sepia print. The milky centre is not opaque: it softens what lies behind it rather than hiding it, which gives the shell a hazy depth for the smoke to hang in. Each wisp of brown is its own trail, some feathering out into fine filaments and some pooling into a single amber-brown cloud on one side of the seat. At the margin the resin is thickest and the tint concentrates into charcoal, giving the silhouette a dark, inked outline. The base is finished matt rather than polished, so nothing bright competes with the smoke.
This is a chair for a dark-painted room, a study panelled in oak or a bedroom in grey and linen, where its charcoal outline reads against a pale floor. Drawn up to a desk or a mirror, it turns on its stem from one task to the next. A lamp to one side warms the amber patch and leaves the edge almost black. Indoor use only.
Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. The smoke can be laid on thicker, until the shell reads almost charcoal, or thinner to leave more of the milky clarity, and the amber patch can be omitted. The stem and disc can be had in this matt black, in polished chrome or in brass, fixed or on a gas lift. The two parts are packed in separate crates and bolted together where the chair is to stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A smoked shell edged in charcoal sits well within our art furniture; the matt black pedestal relates it to our metal sculptures, while the petal silhouette points to our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
