A spiral of fluted fans on its black marble base. From a narrow foot the form opens into three flared fans that twist round one another as they rise, each one ribbed with fine lines that follow its curve, and on the fan rising at the back the ribs cross into a net like the scales of a cone. The resin is smoked black at the foot and along every rib and clears across the broad faces of the fans, which are almost colourless, before the smoke gathers once more on the rolled rim of the tallest fan.
The ribs are the key to the piece: each fan is combed with fine lines, crossing into a net on the rear fan, and because the fans twist, the lines sweep round the form and make the spiral legible from any angle. The smoked colour is graded from the foot, where it is densest, into the fans, where it clears across their faces before darkening again along the rolled rim of the tallest one, so the form looks as if it is rising out of shadow. The three fans overlap differently from every side, which keeps the silhouette lively and never quite predictable.
At 63cm overall on its block it suits a desk, a wide shelf, a console or a sideboard, in a living room, a study or an office, somewhere it can be walked past on two sides. A pale wall behind it shows the smoke grading best, and side light brings out the ribs. It works alone on a clear surface, and it rewards being turned now and then.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. It is made in this smoked black graded to clear, on a base of black or white marble. As a commission the smoke can be carried further up the fans or kept down at the foot, and the ribs can be combed finer or spaced more widely. The block can also be cut from a grey stone. Lift it by the marble with a hand steadying the foot, never by a fan or by the rolled rim of the tallest one. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
With its smoke-black root and three fans that clear as they open, this twisting resin spiral belongs among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
