A single ribbon of smoke grey resin making two waves. From a broad, flared tip at one end it rises and curls right over itself above the block, then sweeps along and climbs again into a tall crest that hooks over to a point at the other end. The loop sits a little off centre, so the arm with the hooked crest reaches further, while the other runs out almost flat. The grey is a smoke rather than a tint and sits in the body throughout. The block beneath it, in black marble, is included.
A ribbon that crosses itself is a composition problem rather than a casting one: where the loop falls decides everything. Put the loop at the centre and the piece is symmetrical and dead; put it too far to one side and the arm left behind looks broken off. Here it sits a little off centre with the longer arm carrying a hooked crest, so the eye travels along the long side and is returned by the hook. The smoke grey is chosen against a tint for the same reason the composition is asymmetric: a colour would give the eye somewhere to stop, and the whole piece is built to keep it moving.
Give it a console, a sideboard or a long low table to itself, and let it be approached from the long side rather than from either end. The smoke grey reads as an outline more than as a colour, so it wants a ground lighter than it is: against a dark wall the whole piece disappears except for the two crests.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The two crests can be set further apart and the block offered in other stones. The ribbon can be made to another span, its block sized to go with it, and the loop moved further toward the middle for a quieter composition. A colour can also be run through the grey, which gives a warmer object and loses the outline this one is built on. The stone is boxed away from the casting, and two people carry the casting by its body and never by a crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A smoke grey ribbon looping over itself and rising to a hooked crest belongs with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
