Smoke Grey Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture, 65cm, a twisting frosted ribbon flaring at the top, mounted on a black marble block against a plain light background.
Smoke Grey Spiral Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 65cm $1,68700
Description

A frosted ribbon of smoke grey resin that climbs from its stone in a series of turns, each broader than the last, and flares at the very top into a little trumpet. The grey is dark at the foot and lightens slightly as the ribbon rises, and the frosted finish gives it a soft, velvety look. It comes with a black marble block.

A Frosted Ribbon in Smoke Grey

Smoke grey and a frosted finish give this spiral a quiet, misty character. The frosting softens every edge, so the turns read as soft folds of grey rather than sharp glassy lines, and the colour gathers at the foot where the ribbon is heaviest, lifting to a paler grey at the trumpet. It is a restful piece, and it sits in a room without demanding attention. Each piece varies slightly in tone. Up close, the frosted surface has the soft look of sea-worn glass.

A desk, a side table or a narrow shelf in a study or a bedroom, where a small, calm piece is wanted. Grey, white and stone-coloured rooms suit it, and it sits quietly beside linen, concrete and pale wood. A lamp to one side brings out the soft folds of the turns; against a white wall the smoky spiral reads clearly.

Paler, Darker, or Glossy, and Delivery

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The grey can go darker, to charcoal, or lighter, to silver, and the surface can be polished to a gloss in place of the frost. The trumpet at the crown can be opened wider. The same spiral is made in green grading to white, sold separately. It arrives on its block in a small crate, and a single pair of hands, one under the base, lifts it out. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Smoke grey frosted into a soft, rising ribbon sits among our resin sculptures; the spiral climbing to a trumpet belongs with our organic sculptures, and calm pieces for a study are in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
