Smoke Grey & Navy Nesting Box Acrylic Sculpture Set of Three, 120cm, nested translucent acrylic boxes with a navy center softened by smoky grey, on a plain light background.
Smoke Grey & Navy Nesting Box Acrylic Sculpture Set of Three - 120cm $5,01100
Description

A set of three rectangular boxes in translucent acrylic that nest one inside another. The outer box is a smoky grey, and through its walls the middle box and the inner one read as a deep navy, so nested together they look like a dark blue block held in smoke, its edges softened by the grey around it. The three are sold together, and they can stand nested as one block or set out apart.

Navy Held in Smoke

The effect is depth with nothing on any surface. Every face is plain and every edge straight, and the whole reading comes from looking through one colour into another: the grey of the outer box veils the navy behind it, so the middle box seems to float a little way inside, and the inner box, seen through both, sits darker still at the heart of the block. All three are long and low, so nested they read as a single object rather than as boxes put away, and apart they read as three steps of one shape.

Nested, the set reads as one long, low block, and it suits a gallery floor, a reception area or the top of a long console, where people see it from the front and from above. Set apart, the three can run in a line along a wall or step across a floor, the grey one first. It wants even light from the front or the side rather than from behind, since the navy needs light on it to read as blue rather than black, and its grey outline stays crisp against a pale wall.

Tints, Proportions and Moving Them

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The tints and the sizes of the boxes are drawn per commission, so a set in clear and amber, in two greys, or with a coloured box inside a clear one can be made from this design. All three come together, and none is sold apart from the others. The boxes are separated before any of them is moved, and each is lifted from beneath with a hand at either end, never by one edge. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Three nesting boxes in smoke and navy, this set is grouped with our geometric sculptures, our acrylic sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.

Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
