Smoke Grey & Black Fluted Crenellated Arch Resin Sculpture, 68cm, with jagged crenellated rim and marbled black streaks, on a plain white background.
Smoke Grey & Black Fluted Crenellated Arch Resin Sculpture - 68cm $2,36300
Description

This slim arch of smoke grey resin stands on two broad feet, curving over a rounded opening like a section taken from a wheel. Flutes radiate across it from the inner curve, and its outer rim is crenellated with blocky teeth, each rising to its own height. Black ink is marbled densely through the grey, gathering in dark bands and streaks that follow the flutes, so the whole arch has the smoky depth of a storm sky.

Black Ink Marbled Through Smoke Grey

The resin itself is tinted a translucent smoke grey, so even the blocks on the rim look smoky rather than clear. Through it the black ink spreads in heavy marbling, pooling in broad dark streaks across the crown and down into both feet and thinning to fine veins between them. The flutes catch highlights along their ridges, and where they cross a band of ink they show as bright lines on black. No two arches carry the same marbling, so the pattern on yours will be its own.

Its dark marbling makes a strong, graphic shape on a credenza or a long sideboard, best against a white or pale stone wall where the stepped edge stands out sharply. Daylight from behind turns the grey translucent and shows up the flutes, while a lamp from the front deepens the black. It suits a modern room of crisp lines, concrete or pale timber. Indoor use only.

Ink Density, Tint and a Padded Crate

Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Made as a commission, the ink can be marbled more lightly for a softer grey or more heavily for an arch that is nearly black, and the smoke tint can be cleared altogether. The flutes can be set closer or wider, and the blocks on the rim made bolder or more delicate. It travels upright in a slim padded crate, and on arrival it is held by both feet, with the crenellated rim kept clear of any knock. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Smoky grey resin marbled with black ink and stepped along its rim places this arch with our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
