The Silver & Black Duotronic Monkey Figure stands 35cm tall and splits its body down the centre — one half finished in electroplated mirror-silver, the other moulded in transparent smoke-black that reveals the intricate inner mechanics beneath. It is a sharp, contemporary collectible that reads as equal parts designer toy and modern art sculpture. The upright seated posture, the exposed skeletal-mechanical interior, and the high-contrast dual finish give the piece an unmistakable gallery-character presence despite its compact tabletop scale. Split Finish, Exposed Mechanics

This designer sculpture is produced in premium resin with precision 3D-printed tooling to capture the internal mechanical detail that defines the piece. The silver hemisphere is electroplated — genuine metallic plating, not painted silver — giving a true mirror-chrome reflectivity that catches light across every contour of the monkey's form. The opposing hemisphere is cast in transparent smoke-black resin, allowing you to see straight through the shell into the sculpted inner framework: ribs, joints, skeletal structure, and stylised mechanical components rendered in sharp relief. The two halves meet along a clean central seam that runs head to base, dividing the figure with surgical precision. Every Duotronic figure is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not hold stock. Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops supporting production at scale.

Customisation is offered. Alternative sizes, different colourway splits (gold/clear, rose-gold/smoke, full-chrome, matte-black), alternative plating finishes, or a fully bespoke duotronic character designed from a brief or reference are all possible. Contact us before ordering to discuss.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
