Sea Green Broad Band Cast Resin Armchair - 72cm
Sea Green Broad Band Cast Resin Armchair - 72cm $4,45700
Description

A pale sea green tints this cast resin armchair, close to the colour of thick glass seen at its edge. Its back is one deep, unbroken band that curls forward into the arms and drops from their ends into the front legs. A slim seat panel is set level between the arms, and below it two broad rear legs are tied to the front ones by runners resting on the floor.

Glass-Pale Sea Green in One Deep Band

The green is faint across the open faces and strong at every edge, the way a sheet of glass looks almost clear from the front and deep green from the side. So the outline of the chair is traced in a darker sea green, along the top of the back, round the front corners and down the legs, while the middle of the back and the seat stay pale and full of reflections. The legs are flat rather than round, and their broad faces catch light in long vertical streaks. No seam or joint shows anywhere between band, seat and base.

With the seat at dining height and arms too high for an apron, it serves best at the end of a table, at a study desk or alone in a hallway. The sea green is cool and quiet, at home with white plaster, pale timber and plants, and it freshens a room that faces north. A dark floor beneath brings out the green edges most strongly. Indoor use only.

Green Depth, a Slimmer Band and Delivery

Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The green can be kept this pale or taken to a richer bottle tone, and a slimmer band can be cast so that it frames an opening below the back. Runners can give way to four free legs. Several chairs bought at once are coloured together to keep them alike. Seat height is cut to suit the table it will serve. It comes crated and complete, and lifting it is a job for one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Sea green resin formed as one sweeping band brings this armchair into our art furniture; the pale, glassy cast sits with our resin sculptures, and the curved form with our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
