Description

This disc of clear resin is parted from above by a deep, round-bottomed notch, leaving two halves that stand apart over a solid body. Where the halves meet that body, a band of sea green sweeps from one side to the other. Beneath it a dense tangle of white filaments fills the body and wisps up around the notch, with a few fine black threads among them.

A Sea Green Band Above White Filaments

The piece is built in three layers of interest. At the top the two clear halves carry only a few stray wisps, so their polished faces and the curve of the notch read cleanly. Across the middle the sea green band gives the disc its colour, a cool shade leaning slightly towards blue, strongest where it dips beneath the notch. Below, the white filaments crowd together like frost or spun sugar, their fine strands catching every highlight, and a scatter of black threads gives them definition.

Its size makes it easy to place, whether on a writing desk or on a side table beside a reading chair, ideally near a window so that daylight falls behind it and lights up the white filaments. A dark wall makes the filaments look brighter still, while a pale one shows off the green. It is at home in a study, a bedroom or a hallway. Indoor use only.

The Green Band, Filaments and Packing

Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. On commission the band can be tinted another colour or deepened, the white filaments made sparser or denser, and the black threads left out for an all-white tangle. The notch can be opened wider and the diameter changed to suit. It travels in a foam-lined box that cradles the whole disc, and it comes out of the box with a hand cupped beneath it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
