Description

The Scripture Vessel Natural Abstract Wood Sculpture at 250cm is a long elegant boat-form vessel hand-carved from warm honey-toned wood, with its upper inner surface inscribed in rows of fine black scripture-like text. At 250cm in length, the vessel sweeps gently upward at both ends — the bow resolving into a clean point, the stern into a small carved decorative finial of stylised leaves — and reads as a single fluid silhouette. The incised text fills the upper plane of the hull in even rows like an illuminated manuscript laid open across a leaf-form spine, contrasting sharply with the smooth lower hull. Each vessel is hand-carved and hand-inscribed individually.

A Manuscript Carved into a Hull

Our artisans hand-carve the boat-form hull from a single piece of warm honey-toned wood, sanding the lower body smooth and inscribing the rows of scripture-like text into the upper inner surface by hand. The finial at the stern is carved separately and joined into the form. This 250cm scripture vessel sculpture works as a tabletop centrepiece in interiors with a literary, contemplative, or culturally rich brief: library reading rooms, designer studies, boutique hotel quiet rooms, gallery-style residential halls, and creative agency thought spaces. Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
