Rose Rolled Tube Cast Resin Armchair - 80cm, a translucent pink-red resin chair with rolled tube back, oval openings, and tapering legs on a white background.
Rose Rolled Tube Cast Resin Armchair - 80cm $3,23900
Description

A rose cast resin armchair with a rolled back. One continuous tube of even diameter leaves the seat at the front on each side, sweeps up and back to form an arm, carries on around behind the sitter as the back, and returns. Because the tube stands clear of the back panel for most of its run, a large oval opening is left on either side. Four tapering legs carry it. The rose is deepest at the seat and pales down the legs to near clear.

One Tube, Two Ovals, and a Colour That Drains Downward

The chair is drawn with a single line and everything follows from that. The tube never changes diameter, never joins anything and never stops, so back and arms are not separate members but one member seen at different points in its travel; the two oval openings are simply the gaps the line leaves behind. Those ovals are what the eye goes to, and they are large enough to see the room through, which makes a chair of this bulk read as light. The colour then does the opposite of what would be expected. It is at its most saturated in the seat and in the tube where it leaves the seat, a clear crimson rose, and it drains steadily down through the legs until the feet are almost colourless, so the chair appears to be standing in water. The change is continuous and there is no band anywhere in it. Where the tube crosses in front of the back panel the two thicknesses double and go a stop darker.

At 80cm to the crown of its tube this sits as a proper occasional armchair, not a light side chair, and its arms are too high to tuck under a dining table. It suits a living room, a bedroom by a window, or a wide landing, and it needs to be seen from the front or the three-quarter, where the ovals read. Backlit it becomes a rose outline; lit from the front the colour flattens and the openings do the work. It takes a cushion but sits comfortably without one. Indoors only.

The Size of the Openings, and Where the Colour Runs Out

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The openings in the back are the first choice: two large ovals as here, four modest ones, or a solid back with the tube run tight against it, which is a heavier and quieter chair. Then where the colour stops, from this drain to near-clear feet through to an even tone from seat to floor. Then the rose itself, which can be an amber, a cobalt or a smoke grey instead. The seat and the back are dimensioned to whatever you name. The chair is crated singly and needs no work on arrival, and one person can carry it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A seat drawn in one rolled line sits within our art furniture; the soft, unbroken curve leads on to our organic sculptures, and the rose casting to our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
