This low round table sets clear resin over dark metal. The top is thick and colourless to faintly grey, its upper face worked into irregular ripples that run across the whole diameter, and its edge left chipped and uneven rather than ground true. Underneath it stands a drum base in a dark gunmetal grey, closely fluted all round in fine vertical ribs, set in from the rim so the top overhangs it by several centimetres on every side.
The two surfaces are set against each other deliberately. The top's face is rippled right across, an irregular swell that catches light in bands and never resolves into a pattern, and the edge is left chipped rather than ground true, so the whole disc reads as a broken sheet of ice. Under it the drum is the opposite: matte, dark, and fluted in fine vertical ribs so regular that they read as a machined surface. The drum is set in from the rim, so the top overhangs and throws a shadow onto the flutes, and that shadow moves round the drum as the light changes. Every top ripples differently.
It sits low and reads as a coffee table for a seating group. The rippled top is meant to be looked into rather than across, so a position where people sit above it serves it better than one seen from standing. Anything placed on it will sit unevenly on the ripples unless it has a broad flat base. The drum is set in from the rim, so seating can come closer than the diameter suggests. Indoors only.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The metal drum is what fills the time. Three decisions sit with you. The ripple depth is first, from this pronounced swell to a nearly flat face with only a suggestion of movement. The edge is second: chipped as here, or ground true, which turns the top from a broken sheet into a disc. And the drum, which can be this fluted gunmetal, a plain smooth cylinder, or a narrower column that gives more foot room. Diameter and height are settled at order. A pair made together will match; ordered apart they will not. It arrives in one crate and one person can manage it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Rippled resin over a ribbed metal drum brings this low table into our art furniture; the fluted base sits with our metal sculptures, and the ice-like top with our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
