A red sheet twisted along its whole length, so the two ends finish facing opposite ways. Across the broad middle the resin glows a bright red-orange, and the red deepens to a dark wine colour wherever the sheet turns on its edge, along both shoulders and out into the drawn tips, one of which shows a pale salmon underside. Black marble comes with it and carries the casting, and the casting overhangs it at both ends.
A single sheet twisted along its length is the one form where the material has to carry the movement on its own. There is no opening to look through and nothing applied, only the one crest the sheet rises to at its middle. What does the work is that the twist is not constant: it is nearly flat at the middle, turns hardest a third of the way out to each tip, and flattens again into the drawn-out ends. That gives the eye a rate of change to follow. The colour is pinned to it: the broad middle glows red-orange, and wherever the sheet turns onto its edge the red darkens almost to maroon, so the tint describes the twist rather than sitting on top of it.
It is a low horizontal and belongs on a table, a console or a broad shelf where it is looked down on rather than up at. Seen from above the twist reads as one movement; seen edge on it reads as a line and most of the piece disappears. It wants a clear run of surface on both sides, since the two tips reach well out from the middle and are the part a sleeve catches.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The twist is drawn tighter, the red is run toward purple, and the stone beneath is made thicker. The sheet is repeated at other lengths on this stone, and the tips are drawn blunter where the reach is a nuisance. A frosted finish is offered and works against this one in particular: the twist is read off the highlights running along it, and frosting removes them. A single crate holds it on its middle with both tips boxed apart, and the casting is lifted out by that middle, never by a tip. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A sheet twisted along its length is organic sculpture; the red sits inside the material as resin sculpture; and a low horizontal is indoor sculpture table work.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
