A ribbon wound round a central stem and standing on a turned black foot cast with the piece. Red at the top through purple into blue at the foot, carried along the ribbon rather than across it. A turned black foot is cast with it and no other base comes with the piece, so it stands wherever it is set down.
Winding a colour run round a stem shows a different part of it at every turn, which is more than a straight ribbon of the same length could do. The stem is doing two jobs: it carries the ribbon and it gives the winding something to be read against. Without it the turns would float and the colour order would be much harder to follow from any single position. A colour run laid along the body rather than across it means each turn shows a different part of it, and the clear gaps between turns keep them separate. Polished along the whole ribbon including the inner faces, which are visible through the winding.
It suits a shelf or a console with clearance on both sides, so the winding can be followed round. A pale plain wall behind it, since three colours and an open form is enough on its own. Light from above follows the winding down; side light separates the turns. The winding reads from across a room and the colour order from close to.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The turn count can be changed, two colours can be run instead of three, and a stone base supplied if one is wanted. Cut it to two colours and the turns stop showing different parts of the run, which is what makes the winding worth following. More turns or fewer changes how much of the colour run is visible from a single position, which is the whole point of winding it, and the stem has to lengthen or shorten with the count rather than staying as it is. One crate, on its own foot, standing on arrival. One person, lifting at the foot. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ribbon wound around a central stem leads to our organic sculptures; its red, purple and blue run belongs among our resin sculptures, and it adds colour to a small room among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
